Aditi Varma
Pathways to Net Zero Precincts: CER and Grid Integration
Aditi’s PhD is focused on trialling full grid integration for consumer energy resources to support net-zero strategies at a precinct scale and amplifying the learnings to grid scale. Her supervisors are Dr Dean Economou and Professor Peta Ashworth, and the project is funded by RACE for 2030.
Amrita Koirala
Ensuring a social license to operate for the use of RNA based bio pesticides for agriculture
Amrita’s PhD explores the social license and consumer acceptance considerations of Bioclay (an new RNAI bio pesticice) being developed by the ARC Sustainable Crop Protection Hub. The Hub is funding this PhD, and Amrita is being supervised by Prof. Peta Ashworth (Director) and A/ Prof. Raquel Tardin-Coelho (Theme lead: First Nations communities)

Perceived criticality of minerals in the Global North and South
Desire’s PhD is supervised by Prof. Peta Ashworth (Theme lead: Social licence and technology in society) and Dr Bishal Bharadwaj (Theme lead: Energy and development) and funded by the Trailblazer Universities program.

Stakeholder perceptions and support for hydrogen and ammonia energy projects
Nehemia’s PhD is supervised by Prof. Peta Ashworth (Theme lead: Social licence and technology in society), A/ Prof. Kathy Witt and Dr Bishal Bharadwaj (Theme lead: Energy and development), and is funded by the ARC Training Centre for Global Hydrogen Economy (GlobH2E).
