A collaboration between the enAble Institute and Institute of Applied Health Sciences, University of Aberdeen aligned with the goals of the Aberdeen–Curtin–Calgary Alliance.

Dr Bryce Brickley (Flinders University, Darwin) and Professor Peter Murchie (University of Aberdeen) will talk on Rural Health Equity Perspectives in Scotland and Australia.
Dr Brickley’s research centres on men’s health equity, with a particular focus on community engagement with rural and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Professor Murchie’s research focuses on managing cancer within primary care, and he co-leads the BRUCES (Building Rural–Urban HealthCare Equity for Scotland) project in Aberdeen.

19th Annual ISSDP Conference 2026: Connecting Affected Communities, Drug Policy and Public Health

The 19th annual ISSDP conference, hosted from 30th June to 2nd July 2026 by the National Drug Research Institute at Curtin University in Perth, will bring together drug policy scholars, policy makers, advocates and community voices, to explore drug policy, its formulation, effects and evaluation under the banner Connecting affected communities, drug policy and public health.
