Our Mission
Space is within our reach. At the SSTC, we explore the origins and evolution of the solar system, and develop spacecraft systems for real-world missions. With the largest group of planetary scientists, engineers, students and collaborators in Earth’s Southern Hemisphere, we do fundamental and applied space science research to build a strong future in space for Australia.
Our Vision
The SSTC aims to be known for its excellence in planetary science research and technology development at Curtin University. Connecting across educational institutions, government, and industry, we aspire to be the preferred Australian location for students pursuing space-related careers, and provide a globally-competitive and skilled workforce for the space industry. As a prolific, sustainable, and respected centre, the SSTC will develop and contribute to exciting national and international space programs.
