Sample collection and submission

How to collect samples

The most important step in sample collection for eDNA analysis is to avoid cross-contamination of the samples.

For this, it is necessary to follow strict protocols and the use of clean/sterile equipment. Key aspects are to use clean gloves, DI water, sterile Falcon tubes or sterile sample collection tubes.

Please contact for information on sample collection, preservation and shipping. We can supply protocols and advice.
