Sample collection and submission

How to collect samples

The most important step in sample collection for eDNA analysis is to avoid cross-contamination of the samples.

For this, it is necessary to follow strict protocols and the use of clean/sterile equipment. Key aspects are to use clean gloves, DI water, sterile Falcon tubes or sterile sample collection tubes.

Please contact eDNAFrontiers@curtin.edu.au for information on sample collection, preservation and shipping. We can supply protocols and advice.
