R is a free software environment for statistical computing and graphics. It compiles and runs on a wide variety of UNIX platforms, Windows and MacOS. It can be downloaded from the R Project website. The Curtin Institute for Computation (CIC) collaborates with Software Carpentry to provide introductory workshops in R- upcoming training events and workshops can be found in the CIC training page.
