Planetary exploration has the potential to drive scientific, technological and commercial innovation, as well as inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.
Our scientists are involved in space missions, and analyse meteorites and material from the Moon and Mars, to understand how our solar system formed, and the geological and impact history of the planets and moons within it.
Our engineers have built remote camera systems for the tracking and recovery of fireballs, flown Western Australia’s very first cube satellites, and are now developing exploration-class spacecraft.
