The Group conducts a diverse range of both pure and applied Remote Sensing and Geospatial sciences research using state-of-the-art remote sensing and geospatial technologies, such as, GRACE, TRMM, Landsat, ASRER, MODIS, SPOT satellite systems, laser scanning (terrestrial and mobile), photogrammetry and space time data mining. These have a variety of practical applications in environmental monitoring, heritage conservation and archaeology, urban planning and transport, mining, and hydrology.
