Who must complete a report?
Students

- Students who are undertaking coursework units only prior to being enrolled in the thesis unit.
- Students who are currently on Leave of Absence and/or have been on Leave of Absence for the majority of the reporting period. (The report, including a timeline of work yet to be completed, is an indicator of intent to continue enrolment in the next year.)
Note: Students who are currently on Leave of Absence will have a status of "leave of absence" rather than a status of "enrolled".
Note: Students will be required to confirm some information using eStudent which is accessible through OASIS.
Supervisors
- Supervisors of higher degree by research students (including Interim Supervisors). However, in some cases, for example when a Supervisor is on leave, an Associate Supervisor or Co-Supervisor may complete the report instead.

Supervisors
- Supervisors who do not submit an Annual Progress Report for their student by the closing date of the reporting period will cause their student's enrolment status for the next year, allocated at the Higher Degree by Research Review Board meeting, to remain as "pending".
