ATN-MORE Project Information
The Australian Technology Network's Modules Online for Research Education (ATN-MORE) project is a collaborative venture across the five universities that form the ATN (Curtin University of Technology, Queensland University of Technology, RMIT University, the University of South Australia and the University of Technology, Sydney).
These modules follow on from the ATN-LEAP program and aim to increase postgraduate research students' development and enhancement of their research skills.

Information about the Modules
Information about ATN-MORE is available from the ATN's e-Grad School Research Methodology Online webpage. There are five modules and they are currently available as self-paced independent study.
- Ethics (Curtin)
- Risk Management (UTS)
- Critical writing (UniSA)
- Critical and creative thinking (RMIT) - Moderated Module running 18 August - 12 September
- Practice-led research in arts, media and design (QUT) - Moderated Module running 15 September - 24 October
Participation Requirements
The programs are free but you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Ensure you have access to a computer each week, and make sure it does not have firewall restrictions which may limit your access.
- Be prepared for material that is aiming at an overview of the subject area. The main focus is on skills that employers look for in research graduates.
- We recommend you involve your supervisor(s) in your participation in this module. Your supervisor can help you gain a more in-depth understanding of the topic through reflection on the module and through guidance and support in applying the module to your own research. They can register with you, or they can look at the module independently.
- Occasionally, some modules may be offered as a group moderated version. Information will be emailed to research students when/as this occurs. For the moderated module, be sure you have time available to participate in the module. You will be reading, completing activities, having chats on the topic with the moderator and other participants and contributing to a discussion forum.
